Vice President – Graduate Student Assembly | 2022 – 2023

The Graduate Student Assembly is the student governing body for graduate students at UTD. In addition to my everyday responsibilities as the Vice President, which can be referred to in the GSA Bylaws,  I had an agenda with two important issues I wanted to address, one that benefits the internal structure of the governing body (GSA Bylaws), the other that benefits the entire graduate student population (TA RA GA Stipend Report). Quite similar to use case prioritization, having a priority queue of objectives was important and crucial to get work done, to come to a point of culmination, within the limited time we were to serve. I do want to emphasize here that the only reason I was able to witness the culmination of both was due to a Team effort that overcame several obstacles along the way. If it weren’t for them, these feats would not have been possible. It took the Committee working through most weekends throughout the Spring 2023 semester to complete the Stipend Report, an effort none of us had any qualms about. You may refer to the document which encloses a message I had sent out to the graduate student body, which delineates the process it took us to produce the report.
